Event Management Group was founded in 2014 as a forward-thinking events and hospitality group. Since then, our core business has been the acquisition, preservation and professional management of unique, historic event venues. What began as a deep passion for high-quality hospitality and historic architecture has since grown into a leading network of high-profile, top-class venues in the southern Netherlands and Belgium.

In addition, Event Management Group works exclusively with Het Arsenaal in Naarden and Poppodium VOLT in Sittard. EMG’s expertise in event organisation, hospitality and venue management is also utilised at these venues.
The establishment of Event Management Group stems from Danny Keppels’ experience and entrepreneurial vision. Before setting up EMG, he gained extensive experience on the supplier side of the events industry. This included working in areas such as event set-up, catering staff, equipment hire and ticketing.
That practical expertise remains a key part of the organisation. EMG considers not only the appearance of a venue, but also the practical aspects of organising an event. This includes routing, logistics, technical support, staff deployment, catering and welcoming guests.
In 2014, the opportunity arose to take over the De Grote Hegge estate in Thorn. This laid the foundations for Event Management Group in 2015. Starting from that first venue, EMG gradually grew into an organisation with multiple venues, each with its own character and target audience.
Growth with a focus on location and organisation
Event Management Group continues to build a strong network of event venues. The focus is not only on expansion, but above all on quality, collaboration and a solid operational foundation. Each venue must fit within the portfolio and add value to the offering for corporate and private clients.
EMG does not focus solely on opportunities within the Netherlands, but also actively explores possibilities in the Euregio. By linking venues in the Netherlands and Belgium, a wide range of options is created for clients seeking a suitable venue for their event, from small-scale gatherings to large-scale events.
