EMG is expanding into the Randstad with an event venue at Arsenaal Naarden

On 1 August, Event Management Group (EMG) will take its first step into the Randstad. The company is entering into a partnership with Arsenaal Events in Naarden, whereby the event venue in the historic Arsenaal complex will henceforth be positioned as an official “Powered by EMG” venue.
EMG provides exclusive support for the organisation, positioning and operational systems of the event venue, which can accommodate events for up to 200 people. From weddings and corporate events to seminars and private parties: EMG’s expertise, technology and experience guarantee a high-quality event experience.

“Expanding into the Randstad is a strategic and logical next step for us,” says Danny Keppels, founder of EMG. “With our digital tools and proven approach, we can manage our sites effectively even remotely. At the same time, we remain involved locally and ensure good synergy between our existing sites in the south and this new location in the north.”

The day-to-day running of both the restaurant and the event venue is in the hands of hospitality entrepreneurs Robert Memel and head chef Raymond van Santen, both of whom have over 30 years’ experience. The pair are also launching a new restaurant concept at the Arsenaal: Bajolie, featuring a sunny terrace, 78 seats indoors and 80 outdoors. A good lunch menu and small international dishes to share form the basis of this accessible concept.

“We are really looking forward to this collaboration,” said Memel and Van Santen. “Arsenaal Events is an iconic venue with great potential. We are keen to draw on EMG’s expertise for the event space. It enables us to host a wide range of events professionally, whilst keeping our full focus on the catering side of the business.”
The new name of the event venue will also be revealed shortly.
The Arsenaal Naarden is housed in a listed building, the foundation stone of which was laid in 1688. In the 1990s, it was transformed by interior designer Jan des Bouvrie into an iconic retail and lifestyle destination. Today, the Arsenaal is home to a carefully curated mix of high-end shops and studios specialising in interior design, art, fashion, jewellery, beauty and gastronomy.

“A venue like the Arsenaal deserves catering facilities that exude the same quality as the businesses based here,” said Jan des Bouvrie Jr. “A high-calibre restaurant and event venue completes the picture.”
Monique des Bouvrie and her son are continuing the life’s work of Jan des Bouvrie Sr. and, together with their team, continue to design complete interiors – from city villas to exclusive flats – entirely bespoke and with an eye for timeless elegance.
