Pietersheim Castle has been named the best wedding venue in Belgium, whilst Kasteelhoeve De Grote Hegge has been named the second-best in Limburg.
Big news for the Event Management Group (EMG): Pietersheim Castle in Lanaken has been named by the leading platform Toptrouwlocaties as Belgium’s best wedding venue.
Also De Grote Hegge Manor Farm in Thorn won a prize and achieved an impressive second place in Limburg. The prestigious awards were officially presented today.
The awards are based on reviews from couples who celebrated their weddings at these venues in 2025. Pietersheim Castle scored an exceptional 9.7 out of 10, whilst Kasteelhoeve De Grote Hegge achieved a very impressive 9.5 out of 10. In addition to the reviews, the number of views on the Toptrouwlocaties platform also contributed to the final result.
For Pietersheim Castle, just across the border near Maastricht, this recognition comes at a special time. The historic castle is currently undergoing a thorough interior refurbishment. “This means we’ll be fully prepared for the new wedding season and can welcome our guests in an even more luxurious setting,” says Karin Kieszl.
Also at De Grote Hegge Castle Farm, which has been part of EMG for over ten years, is a source of great pride. Site manager Rolina Cleuskens responds enthusiastically: “We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of weddings over the past few years, without ever compromising on quality. For every bride and groom, it must be their unique day. Together with our whole team, we always aim to add that little bit extra to exceed expectations.”
This popularity is also reflected in the bookings: the wedding calendar for 2026 is almost fully booked, whilst also 2027 is already filling up fast. Even the first bookings for 2028 have now arrived.
It is now the fifteenth year running that Toptrouwlocaties announces the most popular wedding venues. The platform is regarded as one of the largest and most influential players in the wedding industry.
EMG founder Danny Keppels sees the awards as confirmation of the group’s strong growth. “By 2025, we were able to achieve around 250 weddings organise. This year, we expect to grow to 300. We remain committed to quality growth, with the guest – and in this case the bride and groom – always at the heart of what we do.”
The Event Management Group was founded eleven years ago and now has ten unique event venues.
With recent additions such as Oolderhof in Herten and The Dock in Breda The group is strengthening its position in Central Limburg and Brabant.
